
Jen Phillips, Founder/CEO
Jen Phillips founded Red Light Public Relations in 2002, after several years as Entertainment Marketing Director of Puma USA. Her efforts at Puma successfully re-launched the brand in the US and created an ultimate fan base of Hollywood's elite. Phillips works with top entertainment and fashion media, celebrity stylists, talent, and management organizations in Los Angeles and New York. She prides herself on maintaining an eclectic mix of high profile clientele.
Jessica Washington, Fashion Director
A Los Angeles native, Jessica graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Northridge where she earned her degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Apparel Merchandising. She interned with Red Light PR during her senior year of college and was introduced to her passion for the fashion and public relations industry. After college, she went to work in corporate public relations but found that her heart was not content. This is how she ended up back at the place she now calls home: Red Light PR. In her leisure time, Jessica enjoys spending time with friends and family, blogging or reading a good book.
Nancy Thuvanuti, Assistant Fashion Director
Having discovered a love for fashion while raiding her grandmother’s vintage jewelry chest, Nancy spent many of her uniform-clad school days in New Jersey dreaming of a glamorous career in the fashion industry. After graduating from UCLA with top Latin Honors and a Communications degree under her belt, Nancy set her sights on making her dreams a reality. Through several internship positions Nancy realized that while it may not always be glamorous, fashion PR is where she truly belongs. Nancy enjoys playing tennis, watching Audrey Hepburn movies, and the occasional (or frequent) shopping excursion.
Jesse Spielvogel, Senior Account Executive
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jesse graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science. While studying abroad in Europe, Jesse discovered his passion for the media and fashion industries. Shortly after the completion of college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in public relations. It was not long before he found himself a perfect fit as showroom manager here at Red Light PR.
Sophia Ly, Account Executive
Growing up in Pasadena most of her life, Sophia pursued her further education studies at the University of California, San Diego. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, but always had an avid love for the fashion industry. Sophia looks to her dad for fashion inspiration – oddly enough, he is the main contributor of unique and one-of-a-kind pieces to her closet! No stranger to the entrepreneurial spirit—spending her summers working in her family’s businesses—Sophia knew at a young age that she wanted to be a successful business woman. Sophia has found the perfect balance of her two passions of business and fashion public relations as she started at Red Light the beginning of 2010.
Alexis Newman, Senior Account Executive
Born and raised in the city of angels, Alexis has always had a passion for fashion and dreamed of becoming a successful businesswoman. Her inspiration was ignited at a young age by her parents antique and jewelry business, and it came as no surprise that she developed an eye for all things beautiful. After earning a B.A. degree in Communications (with a minor in Studio Art) from the University of Arizona, Alexis returned to her true home of Los Angeles. While spending her summer of 2010 at Red Light PR, Alexis realized that fashion public relations was the custom fit she was looking for – matching her love of clothing with her innate marketing sensibility and people skills. When not working, Alexis can be found traveling, painting, boxing, spending time with family and friends and, of course, shopping!
Herschel Hermosa, Account Executive
Born in the Philippines and raised throughout numerous cities all over California, Herschel finally found a permanent home in Los Angeles and with Red Light PR. With a Family & Consumer Science degree and Marketing minor from California State University, Northridge, Herschel has always envisioned himself in the fast paced world of fashion public relations. His love for all things creative suited him perfectly for his position as an Account Executive in Woman's Fashion at RLPR. In his spare time, Herschel can be found stimulating the economy through retail therapy, enjoying the company of others and living by his mantra of “Larger than life, is just the right size!”
Becky Coulter, Senior Account Executive
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Becky is a true southern California girl who enjoys sunny days at the beach, Dodger games, and all things LA. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Chapman University, Becky eventually found her perfect fit working in the accessories division at Red Light PR! Becky is thrilled to be a part of the Red Light team and to have a career that combines her passion for writing and fashion. When she's not working, you can find her traveling, reading, working out and spending time with her family and friends.
Crystal Robles, Showroom Manager
A product of Los Angeles, Crystal’s love for fashion and business has always been instinctive. Crystal's success efforts all began at a young age when she attained her cosmetology license while enrolled in high school. Her enthusiasm for fashion led her to attend California State University of Los Angeles where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a focus in PR, and a minor in Business. Her background in both business and public relations led her to Red Light PR in the beginning of 2011. Crystal strives to conquer the business aspect of fashion and hopes to one day become a successful entrepreneur. In addition to business and fashion, Crystal’s interest include: hair styling, make-up artistry and on a good day, hiking.
Lindsay Siwiec, RLPR NYC Showroom Manager
A native New Yorker, Lindsay has always had a love for fashion. In following her passion, she went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising from The State University of New York College at Oneonta. After graduating, Lindsay moved to London to gain more experience in the industry. She held several internships while living abroad and soon realized her love for business and public relations. After four months, Lindsay returned to the states and decided to go back to school at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York where she received a second degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications. As a new employee of Red Light PR, Lindsay is eager to put her keen eye for fashion to use with her passion for business.
Alexandria McGaughey – Account Executive
Alexandria's fervor for fashion began at a young age while watching her mother effortlessly style herself to teach a class of pupils every day. From Chicago's Southside to her family's beloved Alma Mater, Howard University, it was in Washington, D.C. where her style and character evolved. At this time she took her passion for all things fashion and people, to earn a B.A. in Public Relations while attaining a minor in Fashion Merchandising. With roots deep in the East coast, Alexandria was hungry for more. In June of 2011 she uprooted and left her second home in D.C. and headed West - Los Angeles! In the same month she moved, Alexandria landed a dream internship at Red Light PR. During this time she realized that Red Light PR was somewhere she could call home and landed a coveted role amongst the Red Light PR family. She continues to live everyday by Marilyn Monroe's famous quote - "Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world." - and that, she will.
Fez Randera- Senior Account Executive
Born and raised in London, Fez honed his skills at University of the Arts-- gaining a bachelor's degree in advertising and marketing. After assisting as a stylist for some of London's edgiest fashion publications, Fez hopped the pond for the sunny skies of Los Angeles. He soon found a new home at Red Light PR and has never looked back. With a voracious appetite for all things cultural, Fez's interests include film, fine art, and pawing through foreign editions of his favorite fashion magazines.
Mackenzie Piccarreto- NY Showroom Coordinator
Growing up in upstate NY, but dying to live in the big city, Mackenzie realized her love for fashion at a very young age. After receiving her B.A. in Marketing from the University at Buffalo, she relocated to London to gain more experience within the fashion industry. While interning for a boutique PR showroom, she had finally found the perfect fit that combined her business skills with her love for fashion. After returning back to the states, she completed her MBA in management and finally made the move to New York City. As a new addition to the Red Light PR team, Mackenzie is excited to start a career that will utilize her business sense with her eye for fashion.
Sommer Hogan- Account Executive
Born and raised in Oklahoma, scouting for good fashion was a built-in challenge from the beginning. She delights in finding good fashion and bringing it to the public. With a degree in Public Relations and Advertising from Chapman University, she always kept her sights on working in Los Angeles. In her years at Chapman, she took several internships at Fashion PR firms, as well as University roles which helped hone her communication and public relations skills. Her warm personality and excellent design aesthetic gives her a natural ease in her role of a fashion account executive.
Guisou Akhavan- Account Executive
Being born and raised in Los Angeles, California has allowed Guisou to have a creative and bustling city as her play ground. Guisou comes from an exciting background of media relations and international styling's. After graduating from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, Guisou traveled around the world exploring cities such as London, Gold Coast, and Berlin, all the while relishing in the trend of chic and unique people in these lively cities. Her talents draw on skills in entrepreneurship, internet media, marketing and a true passion for meeting the like minded. Through combining her passion for fashion and rhetoric, it was then that with such fervor Guisou wanted to dive head first into fashion public relations and Red Light PR was the perfect fit. In addition to working at Red Light PR, she takes satisfaction in being a part of the street art scene, cycling and photography.
Jennifer Lopez-Account Executive
Jennifer began her undergrad career at the University of California, Santa Cruz. It was not long before the Hollywood native realized her heart remained in Southern California. She quickly transferred back into the city where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising from California State University, Los Angeles. Jennifer was first introduced to Fashion PR through various internships in the field and instantly knew it was where she needed to be. Jennifer began her internship at Red Light PR just a few months shy of graduation, her passion for the field demonstrated that she had found a home. She is excited to be working in the Women's Fashion division at Red Light and looks forward to producing great results for her clients. After hours, Jennifer can be found strolling through local flea markets and vintage boutiques, planning a vacation, or simply relaxing with friends and family.
